What is this book about?

Redeployment is a collection of twelve short stories about soldiers and veterans who served in the Iraq War. Phil Klay served in the United States Marine Corps from 2005 to 2009 and was deployed to Anbar Province; he spent four years writing the book. To depict the war he created a dozen characters, each with a different set of experiences and perspectives. It was his first published book.
