What is this book about?
The Penderwicks are four sisters: Rosalind, Skye, Jane and Batty. With their father and their dog, Hound, they travel to Arundel Cottage in Massachusetts for the summer holidays. Exploring the estate, they meet Cagney, the gardener, and run up against Mrs Tifton, its owner.
The book’s full subtitle promises ’a summer tale of four sisters, two rabbits, and a very interesting boy’. It is the first in a series of five children’s novels.
