What is this book about?

Jennifer Egan links thirteen stories through music executive Bennie Salazar, his assistant Sasha and the people around them. The book moves between different periods, reaching from the 1970s into a near future. New York is a recurring setting, alongside San Francisco, Italy and Kenya. Published in 2010, the novel won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction the following year.
