Caos calmo

Pietro Paladini is a little over forty and has everything he could want: a senior job at a television network, a partner, Lara, who loves him, and a ten-year-old daughter, Claudia. One August morning he dives into the sea to save a stranger’s life, at the very moment that Lara collapses and dies in the garden at home. In place of grief he feels a strange calm.

He takes to spending his days on a bench outside his daughter’s school. From there he watches the world, and one by one his bosses, colleagues and relatives come to him, not so much to console him as to pour out their own troubles.
