The Saint of Bright Doors

In a world where modern technology exists alongside the supernatural, Fetter is the son of a zealot called Mother-of-Glory and of the Perfect and Kind, a messianic cult leader who abandoned him before he was born. Fetter can see invisible creatures known as devils. His mother raises him in the village of Acusdab and trains him in magic and assassination, intending that he will one day kill his father.

The story takes him to a city marked by mysterious ’bright doors’. It is Vajra Chandrasekera’s debut novel.
