De quoi parle ce livre
Kento is twenty-eight. Having left the company he joined after university, he is studying for a qualification and looking for work, and helps his mother care for his eighty-seven-year-old grandfather, who lives with them. The old man needs care but is physically sound, and mutters every day that he wishes he were dead.
Kento decides to grant the wish by looking after him so thoroughly that he weakens, while building up his own strength. Through him the novel portrays a man who longs for death and clings to life at once. Keisuke Hada has said he wanted to show the comedy of clashing values between generations under one roof.
