Die Erfindung der Roten Armee Fraktion durch einen manisch-depressiven Teenager im Sommer 1969

In 98 chapters told out of chronological order, Frank Witzel describes the inner world of a boy, thirteen at the outset, who is the son of a factory owner in Wiesbaden-Biebrich in 1969. He fails his school year and is sent for a time to a boarding institution. His mother is paralysed, he is an altar boy, and he is devoted to pop music, the Beatles above all.

In his imagination he identifies with the founders of the Red Army Faction and casts himself as the inventor of its logo. Other passages are set decades later. Through him the novel evokes West Germany in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
