I convitati di pietra

After their final exams, the former pupils of one class at a Milan high school make a pact meant to bind them for life. They agree to meet for dinner every year, turning the passage of time into a kind of game based on the gradual disappearance of the participants, with a cash prize at stake. The annual dinners become the occasions on which old rivalries, grudges, ambitions and failures resurface, while death becomes a constant presence in the group. The story follows the characters across the decades.
