Zombie Kaishufu

Zombie Kaishufu (The Zombie Collector) is set in a world overrun by artificial intelligence. The narrator and her husband have both lost their jobs to AI when another reality opens up before her. In it she is the only cleaner at a hotel, collecting the remains of slain zombies to keep the world tidy. Having grown up a dutiful “good girl” over more than thirty years, she carries out the role with the same earnest diligence, unthanked and unpraised.
